SC Gov. Mark Sanford: Letter to President Bush

This letter was sent to President Bush by S.C. Governor Mark Sanford in response to this weekend’s news that Bush plans to subvert the will of conservative Americans and the Legislative Branch concerning the bailout of the U.S. auto industry.

Governor Sanford uses the Administration’s own previously stated concerns to explain the danger inherent in charting this course.

In closing, he stresses that real economic recovery will come at the hands of the millions of American men and women who produce goods and services in this country and that any bailout of dysfunctional corporations will only serve to saddle everyday Americans with a crushing debt to be repaid in the future.

Kudos to S.C. Governor Mark Sanford!
