While America was consumed this summer with quarrels over town-hall radicals, “death panels,” the “public option” and racism’s role in the plunging polls of Barack, what happens to health care is not going to change the history of the world.
What happens in Afghanistan might.
Gen. Stanley McChrystal has done his duty. He has bluntly told his commander in chief what he must have in added combat troops and warned that if he does not get them, America faces “mission failure.”
Translation: a Taliban victory and U.S. defeat, as in Saigon 1975.
Not only does President Obama face the most critical decision of his young presidency, this country is facing a moment of truth. Obama, now the Decider, has four options.
There is the Biden option of drawing down troops, drawing away from Hamid Karzai, and focusing McChrystal’s men on what they do best — running down and killing al-Qaida, be they in Afghanistan or Pakistan.
Second is the option of indecision — holding off on more troops until the 68,000 already committed have arrived by December, and seeing how McChrystal does with them until spring.
The third option is to give McChrystal some but not all the tens of thousands he says he needs.
Final option: Give Gen. McChrystal the blank check George W. Bush gave Gen. David Petraeus, with the surge of 2007 in Iraq, which radically reduced the violence and set the stage for U.S. withdrawal beginning in 2010.
Yesterday we posted the video of elementary school children being trained to worship Barack Hussein Obama. The lyrics to their songs of praise were a little hard to make out. Here are the words the teacher was making these kids memorize and sing:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Washington, D.C. – Over the past week President Barack Obama conceded any future armed conflict between the United States and Red China, Russia, and Islamic Fascists.
The President first announced he was dropping our missile defense plans in Eastern Europe that we have been developing since the 1980s under then President Ronald Reagan.
For our allies (maybe former allies is now the word) Poland and Czechoslovakia, this means continued vulnerability to the nuclear arsenal of a reviving Communist Russia, that occupied and brutalized both countries for over fifty years. With impeccable timing, Obama announced the move on the exact 70th anniversary of the 1939 Soviet invasion of Poland.
This accomplishes two feats for our enemies. One, Eastern Europe will not have a shield from Russian nuclear missiles. Two, since Poland and Czechoslovakia are in the direct flight path of a missile fired from Iran at New York or Washington, we have lost our best ground-based chance to knock down an intercontinental ballistic missile attack from the Middle East.
Then yesterday came the Obama speech at the United Nations, during which he called for the total nuclear disarmament of all nations, including the United States.
Now that’s a lofty goal for a world in which all nations respect the borders, sovereignty, and human rights of all. But that’s not the world we live in.
Red China has been actively and publicly preparing for war with the United States for decades. Their advantage is manpower, where they outnumber us by more than three-to-one with over 1.3 billion people compared to our 300 million. We currently have the edge in technology, conventional weapons systems, and nuclear deterrence.
But thanks to Democratic President Bill Clinton and a Republican Congress giving this rogue nation most-favored trade status in 1999, China is rapidly closing the technology and weapons gap, leaving nuclear deterrence as the only power safeguard against Chinese aggression against not just the United States, but our allies Taiwan, Japan, or the Philippines.
Meanwhile, radical Islamic-fascists worldwide have vowed the total destruction of America unless we renounce the Bill of Rights, designate Islam the official religion of the United States, and subject all non-Islamic citizens to second-class status as called for in the Koran. And there are currently nuclear arsenals under construction in Iran and North Korea to make that threat a real possibility.
The only thing standing in the way of such a nuclear terror attack is our willingness to mount a pre-emptive strike against those facilities if necessary, or if we fail to do so, to meet a nuclear terror attack against us with a devastating counterattack.
As of yesterday, September 23, 2009, our President Barack Obama told the world he is willing to give that away. Today he voted in the United Nations Security Council for this resolution, without requiring a word in the document dealing with the nuclear proliferation of Iran or North Korea.
If we follow this plan for total unilateral nuclear disarmament, we have relegated our nation, now with the most powerful defense system in the world, to permanent subservient status to communist and radical Islamic tyranny.
Make no mistake – that will be the end of the American middle class, as we join the rest of the world in poverty, oppression, and second-class rights.
Partisan politics, class warfare, and a blatantly biased media have brought us to this brink of national extinction. Now is the time for the great silent majority in this country to awaken, get off the sofa and take back our inheritance of self-government from those who have so gamed our political system to leave us with no real choices in public policy at the polls other than gradual submission to one-world government.
It is indeed time for some real “change.”

(15) Democrats lost Congress in 1994 because President Clinton failed to pass national health care.
I’m not sure if this is another example of the left’s wishful-thinking method of analysis or if they’re seriously trying to trick the Blue Dog Democrats into believing it. But I gather liberals consider the 1994 argument an important point because it was on the front page of The New York Times a few weeks ago in place of a story about Van Jones or ACORN.
According to a news story by Jackie Calmes: “In 1994, Democrats’ dysfunction over fulfilling a new president’s campaign promise contributed to the party’s loss of its 40-year dominance of Congress.”
That’s not the way I remember it. The way I remember it, Republicans swept Congress in 1994 not because Clinton failed to nationalize health care, but because he tried to nationalize health care. HillaryCare failed because most Americans didn’t want it. (For more on this, see “ObamaCare.”)
Bill Clinton had run as an old-school, moderate Democrat and then, as soon as he got elected, immediately became Che Guevara. (What is it with all our black presidents and these bait-and-switch tactics?)
…to adore their Dear Leader.
I wish I could say this was unbelievable. Unfortunately, it’s all too easy to believe.
Today Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee refused to approve a Republican amendment to make the full text of Chairman Max Baucus’ (D-MT) bill available to the public 72 hours before a vote. Democrats in the Senate are determined not to repeat the biggest mistake of their allies in the US House in the battle for Obamacare.
As spring turned to summer this year, it appeared President Obama’s sweeping Socialist agenda would be put in place with virtually no resistance on Capitol Hill. The Tea Parties had already begun, but with virtually no coverage by the mainstream media their impact had done little to slow the President’s blitzkrieg to re-engineer the social and economic systems of the country.
Then House Democrats made their fatal mistake. They released the gargantuan 1,018 page bill, HR 3200.
At the time they thought they had nothing to fear. After all, 1,000 plus pages of legal jargon and sub-paragraphs nested three and four deep inside other sub-paragraphs, with references to sections of the bill hundreds of pages away, and even references to other sections of the US Code would make the bill virtually indecipherable to the voting public. Or so they thought!
House Democrats, and the President himself, thought they had little to fear by opening the bill to public scrutiny. Because they thought the American public wasn’t smart enough to understand the bill. They didn’t count on the devotion of conservatives who dove in and tore the legislation apart. Struggling through the nested references, the legal jargon, and other obfuscatory tactics utilized in the writing, conservative activists put Obamacare under a very powerful microscope. And the American public began to understand just how dangerous this government takeover of our health care industry would be.
Even as line after line of the bill was exposed, President Obama, his administration, and Congressional Democrats repeated lie after lie that was debunked by the text of the bill they thought nobody could read. Conservative America mobilized to let these lying national leaders know they weren’t buying it anymore. The White House sent congressional Dems home for the August recess armed with lies to tell their constituents, but in the trenches these legislators came face to face with voters armed with facts gleaned from the pages of the Democrats’ own bill. By the end of the recess, Obama’s health care shock troops (Democratic congressmen) were turned back and his offensive bogged down.
The President’s last hope to nationalize the nation’s health care system lay with the Senate Finance Committee, which had been working for months to hammer out a bipartisan health care bill. Soon after legislators returned to DC, Chairman Baucus gave up on compromise and issued his vision for a Finance Committee Obamacare bill.
But Baucus and his Lieutenants have learned from the mistakes of the past. He and his Democratic colleagues don’t want the light of public scrutiny to shine on this bill before a vote. Arguing against the amendment was Senator John Kerry (D-MA), “Let’s be honest about it, most people don’t read the legislative language.” What he meant was Democrats don’t want those who can understand it to read it.
Please take a moment to let your Senators and Representative know that if they don’t want to let us know what’s in the bill, we don’t want them to represent us any longer!

Following his usual mantra that “to watch me is to love me,” Barack Obama appeared on five Sunday interview shows and since that wasn’t enough, then the David Letterman show on Monday night. He remains convinced that the more he plays dust speck in the national eye, the further he’ll get in passing his leftist agenda. He’s also confident our media won’t hold him accountable. They just hold him.
“I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to watch you work!” a beaming Letterman gushed to Obama. Even during that show, Letterman was still whacking away at George W. Bush as an idiot, unctuously currying favor with the new president. Letterman doesn’t pretend to be an objective journalist, of course. But can you recall him ever voicing his satisfaction with conservatives?
Perhaps the most amazing thing Obama did — over and over — on Sunday was to scold the media for making the national dialogue coarser by allowing his critics to have a voice on the networks. “Let’s face it, the easiest way to get on television right now is to be really rude,” he said.
Obama should be embarrassed. This is amateurish and silly (if I say so rudely). It’s also a broken record. When Reagan, Bush I and Bush II were in office, nasty demonstrators — even rioters — were celebrated by the left. But when Democrats take control (Clinton, Obama), any criticism becomes angry, hateful, and now racist.
Press release from Tea Party Patriots
“We the People” to Assert the Power to Guide Legislative Direction
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 21, 2009
In an initiative that harkens to the core principles of the Declaration of Independence, the Tea Party Patriots and other grassroots activists have established a project which will enable the American people to establish legislative priorities for their representatives. This new project, called “Contract from America,” offers the public the opportunity to make specific legislative suggestions in thirteen areas of public policy, ranging from health care to ethics reform, energy and environmental issues.
In true grassroots style, Ryan Hecker, from Houston, Texas, conceptualized and created the Contract from America, and brought it to the Tea Party Patriots. In discussing the project, he spoke of the need for more public involvement in the determination of America’s public policies. “Over the past decades, the majority of ideas and policies have originated in the backrooms of lobbyists and legislators in Washington DC. New legislation has often originated from special interests. These ideas and policies have proven to be tired and ineffective. I know the American people have better ideas for our government. Contract from America is their opportunity.”
Contractfromamerica.com was launched immediately prior to the Stand up for Liberty! rallies held in Texas and Ohio over the Labor Day Weekend, and was announced to the nation at the 9-12 March on Washington.
As ideas are offered online by grassroots visitors, individuals will be able to vote on ideas or suggest alternatives in each category. Editors selected from among tea party activists from around the country will choose the top three ideas in each policy area. A vote of the people will select the ideas to be presented to elected officials as the choices of the people.
Hecker noted further, “This website provides Americans with the opportunity to offer their innovative solutions to our nation’s pressing problems and to vote and comment on the ideas of others. We believe that the result of this grassroots-generated marketplace of ideas will be a document that not only represents the will of the American people, but promotes unique ideas that will breathe new life and new trust into American government. We will have a Contract From America for which we are all responsible and in which we all feel a sense of ownership.”

It is an interesting phenomenon that the response of the left half of our political spectrum to criticism and argument is often to try to shut it down. Thus President Obama in his Sept. 9 speech to a joint session of Congress told us to stop “bickering,” as if principled objections to major changes in public policy were just childish obstinacy, and chastised his critics for telling “lies,” employing “scare tactics” and playing “games.” Unlike his predecessor, he sought to use the prestige of his office to shut criticism down.
Now, no one likes criticism very much, and most politicians would prefer to have their colleagues and constituents meekly and gratefully agree with them on pretty much everything. And yes, Rep. Joe Wilson did seem to have broken the rules and standards of decorum of the House (though not of the British House of Commons) when he shouted, “You lie!” in the middle of Obama’s speech.
But none of this justifies the charges, passed off as cool-headed analysis, that Obama’s critics are motivated by racism. There are plenty of non-racist reasons to oppose (or to support) the Democrats’ health care proposals.
I would submit that the president’s call for an end to “bickering” and the charges of racism by some of his supporters are the natural reflex of people who are not used to hearing people disagree with them and who are determined to shut them up.
by Bill Smith: While I wouldn’t trust the leftist biased DailyKos polling numbers, I found it interesting that they polled Arkansas on the following Question:
Do you believe that Barack Obama was born in the United States of America or not?
Yes No Not Sure
All 63 17 20
Dem 84 8 8
Rep 33 29 38
Ind 68 16 16
DailyKos added their opinion that “Two-thirds of Arkansas Republicans are deluded conspiracy theorists.” Their polling numbers identify that 37% of those polled said no or not sure regarding Obama being born in the United States of America.
As with many polls, the DailyKos sought to highlight what we all already know. While it was interesting to poll what “what one believes.” that is not the important issue. The important issue is “Was Barack Obama born in the United States of America?” A president should not leave 37% of those polled in doubt. Omitting even those classified as “birthers,” a properly designed detailed polling question would yield a significantly higher percent for those in doubt of his citizenship. For example, the following question would yield a different results: “President Barack Obama has never allowed public access to his birth certificate by even the press and election officials to validate that he was a natural born American Citizen (born in Hawaii verses a foreign country or territory). This situation has caused some people to be concerned about Mr. Obama meeting the requirement of being a natural born citizen to be qualified to be the President of the United States as set forth in the U.S. Constitution. This issue has not been an unresolved issue previously in U.S. history. Note: that all citizens of the United States are required from time to time to provide their birth certificate to meet legal requirements or to obtain benefits and services. Do you believe that Barack Obama should make his birth certificate public to alleviate the unanswered question concerning his meeting the requirement of the U.S. Constitution and thereby allow the citizens of the United States of America to resolve this issue for all time?”
Like other citizens, I have been required to present my birth certificate on numerous occasions. For example, to be sworn in as a commissioned “regular” military officer, I had to provide my birth certificate to prove that I was born in the United States of America. To receive a Top Secret clearance, the U.S. Government investigated to see if I was born in the United States of America. For one of my sons to be validated as a natural-born American, both my wife and I had to provide proof to the State Department overseas and before a Federal Judge in the United States that we were both born in the United States of America. To get my previous diplomatic passport, I had to provide my birth certificate. And there are other situations for which I had to prove that I was born in the United States of America! They same is true for all other U.S. citizens.
While I am not part of or pursuing the interests of the “birther movement,” both as a citizen and commissioned military officer, I expect President Obama to do no less than I have done. Mr. Obama is not a potentate but a citizen servant. I would expect him to resolve this issue by demonstrating leadership and by presenting any and all documentation to remove all doubt by citizens of the United States as to his being a natural-born citizen of the united States.
Like many others, I am disappointed that the traditional media failed to do their job and to address this issue prior to the primary so that this issue would not be an issue. They clearly showed a bias unequaled in history and their failure to do so will be judged by history.
It has been almost nine months since Barack Obama took the following oath of office to be President of the United States:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
He previously, took the following oath as Senator:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
By the taking both of these oaths, President Barack Obama has a responsibility to resolve this issue by laying before American citizens his birth certificate and by allowing the press public access to his original birth certificate. This issue will never be hidden in history by the things which Mr. Obama hopes to achieve as President or even by the things he does later in life. If not resolved, Mr. Obama will go down in history as the “Unnatural President” and his actions and his programs will be tainted in history. This can be easily resolved by Mr. Obama presenting his birth certificate as other Americans have done on numerous occasions.
