Beware of Fake TEA Party Candidates & Liberal Dirty Tricks

by Bill Smith, ARRA News Editor: To quote Warner Todd Huston at Publius Forum, “Every Democrat I know likes to act as if it were the GOP that fights dirty. Of course, every time I ask them for an example they just stare back blankly at me. . . . On the other hand, I can give reams of evidence of the left doing all it can to win by hook or crook, and it’s usually crook. From ACORN, to constant use of the race card, to changing rules in the middle of the game both at a local level as well as a federal level, as well as the leftist’s prosaic hypocrisy of double standards, we can all name a dirty trick from the left.”

The below information confirms that at least in Michigan one more dirty Democratic trick has been confirmed. However, voters in other states must also beware of Independents and fake TEA Party candidates claiming to be conservatives. For a long time, Democrats across the heartland of America have claimed to be “conservative democrats.” But, then after being elected, the first thing they do is vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. Pelosi is one of the most liberal progressives in the House of Representatives. For example, Arkansas 4th Congressional District Rep. Mike Ross who has the practiced mantra of claiming to be a conservative democrat. But Mike Ross is not conservative. His first vote each congressional term has been voting for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. The result has been Pelosi being in charge of the Congressional Democratic Caucus for the last 8 years and Speaker of the House for the last 4 years.

While it is great that American voters are waking up, but in this awakening they need to be alert to fake candidates. Conservative voters are concerned about the federal spending problem, rising unemployment, being forced to pay for others, the expansion of big government, the reductions of individual choice, and the increased threats to the US by foreign governments, radical terrorists, and lack of border security. Fake candidates are put forward to split the conservative vote so that democrats win. Note that if elected,  independents and 3rd party candidate will out of necessity caucus with one of the two major parties or they will not be on committees, will not find co-sponsors for their bills and will find themselves silenced and dysfunctional in Congress. So, consider which party will they caucus with or declare to be a part of?  It is clear that in the following described situation,  these fake TEA Party candidates would caucus with the Democratic Party.

In Michigan, there is a “Democrat Party group is registering a ‘new’ party that its calling the ‘Tea Party.’ Yeah, imagine that! Where do you think they got the idea for the name, eh?” TheBlogProf reports:

This isn’t even AstroTurf. It is outright political fraud. Fearful of the tea party movement in Michigan (which Democrats and Republicans alike should be), the Democrats and/or their special interest groups have begun the process of officially hijacking the movement. Like in Nevada, they will likely launch their own ‘tea party’ candidate that is anything but. Unfortunately for the Democrats, 1) the tea party is more informed than they give us credit for; and 2) this news is breaking at the very conception of this slimy political move. The news was broken last night by Chetley Zarko on his website Outside Lansing: Zarko Research Exclusive: Dem Dirty Trick on Fake Tea Party Petition Revealed

Zarko Research has learned that a nefarious unknown group calling itself “The Tea Party” at PO Box 23 in Richville, MI 48757 (near Flint) is circulating a petition on a paid basis, at roughly $1 per signature to the circulator. The group is so new that the Secretary of State has nothing on file as of this moment.

The petition was mailed to known paid circulators in the metro Detroit area earlier this week and based on conclusions of proprietary knowledge to Zarko Research, the petition is being operated by a liberal-leaning petition management firm with ties to the Democratic Party.  The petition claims to seek access to the ballot for an entirely new party – the “Tea Party”, although when Zarko Research interviewed known organizers of the Tea Party they all knew nothing about it.  …

No one in any TEA party movement is sponsoring this effort. There is a lot of money being thrown into this as well. Chetley wrote a follow-up post with more specific information: Zarko Exclusive Follow-up: “Progressive” Campaigns Inc (PCI) Hired for Fake Tea Party Petition

Zarko Research has now verified through technical means that Progressive Campaigns Inc. (PCI) has been hired to collect signatures to put on the ballot a “Tea Party” party.

Progressive … has been funded by Soros, the Michigan Democratic Party, and is most recently known for the crude attempt to re-game the Michigan Constitution for the Democratic Party in 2008 through the Reform Michigan Government Now petition, which also operated initially for its first several weeks as a “stealth petition” (a petition that does not go through the Board of Canvasser approval process before circulation, but rolls the dice and operates quietly as long as possible).  It took two months before the Michigan Democratic Party and Mark Brewer’s fingers were proven to be behind Progressive’s RMGN effort, but eventually the truth came out on that.  While it can’t be proven where Progressive is taking its marching orders from this year – the company’s history shouldn’t leave any doubt in what direction its comes from.  Their own client list contains a laundry list of SEIU, Humane Society of the US, George Soros, John Sperling, T. Boone Pickens, John Freeman, the UAW, and the Michigan Democratic Party itself. …

The Tomb of the Unknown Lawyer

by Ken Blackwell at Townhall.com

Watching Attorney General Eric Holder as he testified recently before the House Judiciary Committee was a disheartening experience. Congressman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) tried repeatedly to get the general to acknowledge that “radical Islam” was a motivation for three of the recent attacks on the homeland–Nidal Hasan’s murderous Fort Hood attack, and the failed attempts of Abdulmutallab and Shahzad in Detroit and New York, respectively. The administration has said again and again that these were “isolated” individuals, only to be contradicted when the facts came out. Could radical Islam have been even one of the motives of Hasan, Addulmutallab, and Shahzad, Smith implores of the general. “I don’t want to say anything about a religion,” replies the general. Not even the radical variant of that religion. Not even after Hasan cried “Allahu Akbar!” (God is Great) as he gunned down his fellow soldiers.

Now, we have the New York Times, in one of its typical front page editorials, anguishing over the Obama administration’s decision to go after Anwar al Awlaki, Yemeni cleric who communicated via email with Hasan and who seems to have inspired Abdulmutallab’s failed Christmas Day attack. Awlaki, like Nidal Hasan and Faisal Shahzad, also holds American citizenship. Here’s what the Times says:

The Obama administration’s decision to authorize the killing by the Central Intelligence Agency of a terrorism suspect who is an American citizen has set off a debate over the legal and political limits of drone missile strikes, a mainstay of the campaign against terrorism.

It’s one of the few things this administration is doing right, but it is provoking the usual round of hand wringing. When we are attacked by enemy combatants who declare war on us but who are not “state actors,” operating under the regular articles of war set out in the Geneva Convention, may we respond with deadly force? The liberal commentariat would have us send in predator drones with recordings of Miranda warnings, no doubt.

Will we, or won’t we…

…make a difference in the 2010 elections? We, the people who make up the numerous Tea Party organizations in Arkansas, that is.

That’s a question that will be answered Tuesday, May 18, when Arkansas holds its primary election.

Some would have you believe the opportunity to make a difference will come not on Tuesday, but in November, when we can replace enough Democrats in Washington with Republicans. Others think the way to make a difference is to shun both major parties, selecting 3rd party or independent voters when possible. Neither of these theories hold water.

It’s simply not enough to replace the current crop of Democrats with just any Republicans, and history proves protest votes for third party or independent candidates only strip votes from the most ideologically similar major party and help the other cruise to victory.

But ours is not a generic Republican movement. We haven’t spent so much of our time, treasure, and energy only to play the role of spoiler that will not only guarantee a continuation of Obama’s offensive policies, but will embolden him and intimidate those Republicans who do manage to squeak out victories.

Our movement seemed to spontaneously spring to life when it became clear President Obama’s policies would hasten the bankruptcy of the United States, and send the US Constitution to the trash heap. But the conflagration of protest that became impossible to ignore on April 15, 2009, began smoldering long before most of us ever heard of Barack Hussein Obama.

Republicans held control of both houses of Congress from 1994-2006–12 years. Across the country, many of those Republicans are running for office now, claiming they will change things in DC. From 2001-2006, a Republican President sat in the White House while these same supposedly conservative Republicans controlled the Congress. Let’s compare what they did with what they claim to stand for.

Here are the bullet points from the 2008 Republican Party Platform:

  • Defending Our Nation, Supporting Our Heroes, Securing the Peace
  • Reforming Government to Serve the People
  • Expanding Opportunity to Promote Prosperity
  • Energy Independence and Security
  • Environmental Protection
  • Health Care Reform: Putting Patients First
  • Education Means a More Competitive America
  • Protecting Our Families
  • Preserving Our Values

This exhaustive list sounds like the Republican Party would be the hands-down choice of conservative voters everywhere. And it likely would have if the establishment Republicans in office and other positions of power in DC would have honored these principles when they had control!

But, with Republicans in control of the Executive and Legislative branches of our government, Americans were disillusioned when our political leaders brought our brave soldiers and Marines home in chains to face charges for killing the enemy. We, the people, were horrified when our Marines and soldiers were forced to wait and watch the enemy dig into firing positions and open fire before our defenders of freedom were permitted to engage the murderous terrorist bastards!

Virtually everyone (Democrats and Republicans) currently running for office is proclaiming that Washington is broken, but what some are not telling you is they helped create the problem! Democrats like Blanche Lincoln and Republicans like John Boozman all voted FOR the $700 billion Wall Street bailout in October 2008. Though TARP was opposed by a majority of the American electorate, these political elite rulers obviously thought themselves omniscient and spent American taxpayers’ dollars to save the careers of countless Wall Street fat cats.

Democrats AND Republicans in the political establishment, who now have the gall to promote themselves as conservatives created the tragic situation in which we find ourselves as a nation today.

There’s no doubt since Barack Hussein Obama has occupied the Oval Office the pace to destroy American values and traditions has picked up. And there’s no doubt that if Democrats retain control of the Senate and the House this fall, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid will reignite the engine that will power us to a new era of a Socialist America. And they’ll do so with a renewed sense of boldness, believing once again they received a mandate from the American people to convert the United States into something akin to Chairman Mao’s China, or Comrade Lenin’s Soviet Union.

So we must not allow Democrats to retain control!

But neither can we revert to control by the same Republicans who charted the course that placed Obama, Pelosi, and Reid in power!

Tuesday will determine the effectiveness of the Tea Party movement in Arkansas. And it matters not who wins the Democrat primary. Whether we, the formerly silent majority, have an impact will be decided by whom we select as nominees on the Republican ticket.

The Washington Republican establishment has interjected itself into several races in Arkansas, hoping to determine whom conservatives will have the opportunity to vote for in November. Tim Griffin in Arkansas’ 2nd District sees nothing wrong with the strong support he’s received from Washington insiders. He said months ago on Dave Elswick’s show he’s glad his race is attracting nationwide attention, and that he was garnering the support of national Republicans.

State Senator Gilbert Baker was chosen by the DC Republican establishment to run for US Senate, though he delayed his decision to enter the race until Fred Ramey, Curtis Coleman, Colonel Conrad Reynolds, and others had already significantly weakened Senator Lincoln in the polls. And the Senate candidate most tied to the Washington establishment, US Congressman John Boozman, only announced his intent to run for the seat after Jim Holt entered the race and polled better than Baker.

When the Tea Party movement leaped into protest mode, those of us on the ground were as mad at the Republican Party as we were at the Democrat Party. Many of us still are. Democrats made no secret of their intentions and desires for the future of this country, but the Republican party betrayed conservative Americans by failing to implement substantive change when it had the opportunity.

The political environment that gave us Obama, Pelosi, and Reid at the helm of our ship of state was made possible by some of the very Republican candidates, or their DC backers, who are now claiming to be agents of the very change they resisted or opposed when they had the opportunity.

Will we, or won’t we, make a difference in the 2010 elections?

That depends on which candidates win the Republican primary on Tuesday.

If the most conservative, non-establishment candidates win, we will have made a giant leap toward righting the course of our nation. If those who’ve betrayed us in the past, or those selected by such betrayers, win on Tuesday, our time, monies, and energy will have been all but wasted.

So Tea Party activists, members, and sympathizers, go to the polls on Tuesday and choose THE MOST conservative candidate for every race. Do that and we’ll be moving once again in the right direction.

Do that, and we’ll have made a real difference.

Commemorating Mao but Not Mother

by Dr. Paul Kengor at Townhall.com

Where’s Anita Dunn when you need her?

Recall Anita Dunn, who resigned as President Obama’s communications director not long after Glenn Beck had the temerity to broadcast her jaw-dropping affirmation, made in a church no less—at a high-school baccalaureate ceremony—that her two favorite philosophers were an extraordinarily unlikely pair: Mao Tse-Tung and Mother Teresa.

I’m not sure of Dunn’s current whereabouts, but I’m certain the management department at the Empire State Building in New York City could benefit from her input. Readers might recall the last time I wrote about the Empire State Building: I grappled with the astounding image of the building’s top aglow in red and yellow to commemorate the birth of Red China. Yes, unbelievably, the Empire State last October paused to recognize Mao’s communist China, which was responsible for 60-70 million deaths, the single greatest slaughter of humanity in history, dwarfing Hitler’s terror by six-fold.

New Yorkers apparently were oblivious to such vital facts—or were aware and simply didn’t care—as they strolled along Madison Avenue slurping Smoothies and reading their New York Times under a blood red (and yellow) sky.

But why do I revisit such sordid recent history? Wasn’t it embarrassing enough to suffer this once?

Well, it turns out the brain-trust in charge of deciding which symbols (and revolutions) to elevate in New York—the same brain-trust that offered up this crowning touch for Chairman Mao—are refusing to light up for … brace yourself, Mother Teresa.

YouCut Initiative – Change the Culture of Federal Spending To a Culture of Saving

by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Republican Whip: announced an exciting new project devised by the House Republican Economic Working Group. Second, to take another step in earning your trust by showing you that we understand that actions speak louder than words.

We all know that Washington has a spending problem – and both Democrats AND Republicans bear some responsibility. But as I wrote last week, America is at a crossroads and the choices we make at this critical time will determine what kind of country we want to be. To get back on the right path, Congress MUST start to make some choices that simply can’t be delayed any longer.

While we won’t be able to solve our deficit problems overnight or with one silver bullet, we CAN and we MUST begin to replace the culture of spending that now dominates Washington with a culture of savings. Just imagine if your government was as focused on saving money as it is on spending money. Imagine if Congress spent less time naming post offices – 62 and counting – and more time reducing wasteful spending. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?

Today, we are launching YouCut – a first-of-its-kind project designed to defeat the permissive culture of runaway spending in Congress. It allows YOU to vote, both online and on your cell phone, on spending cuts that you want to see the House – YOUR HOUSE – enact. That’s right, instead of Washington telling YOU how THEY will spend YOUR money, YOU can tell THEM how to save it. After several days of voting, on Monday, May 17th, we will announce the first winner and later that week House Republicans will call for an up-or-down vote on the spending cut. We will repeat this cycle every week for the rest of the year. . . . [Read More]

Please drop by YOU CUT and vote to help us put Uncle Sam on a diet.

Let’s Talk About the Arizona Law

Yesterday, Dr. Bill Smith, America You Asked For It author and editor of both the ARRA News Service and Blogs For Borders was the featured guest of Silvio Canto, Jr.’s on his Dallas based “Let’s Talk” Internet Radio Show. The topic was “Let’s talk about the Arizona law.”

Of special interest in the conversational mix between Canto and Smith was the fact that Canto and his parents immigrated legally to the United States from Cuba and that Smith and his family had lived in Belgium and the Philippines subject to the laws of those countries. The show focused on border violence, the Arizona Law, the economic issues related to illegal aliens and rising crime, the need for a sane immigration policy, and the failure of the Federal Government to deal with securing the borders and protecting Arizona and other states. The show is archived and can be listened to at Let’s talk about the Arizona law. You can even leave comments about Canto’s “Let’s Talk” shows.

Supreme Court to Face Mecca

by Ann Coulter at Townhall.com

Americans can thank the Supreme Court for the attempted car bombing of Times Square, as well as any future terrorist attacks that might be less “amateurish” and which our commander in chief will be unable to thwart unless the bomb fizzles.

Over blistering dissents by Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts and Samuel Alito, five Supreme Court justices have repeatedly voted to treat jihadists like turnstile jumpers. (Thanks, Justice Kennedy!)

That’s worked so well that Obama’s own attorney general is now talking about making massive exceptions to the Miranda warnings — exceptions that will apply to all criminal suspects, by the way — in order to deal with terrorists having to be read their rights as a bomb is about to go off.

Let’s be clear: When Eric Holder thinks we’re being too easy on terrorists, we are being too easy on terrorists.

Either the five liberal justices demanding constitutional rights for terrorists are out of their minds, or the religious worship of President Franklin D. Roosevelt has got to stop. According to liberal logic in the war on terrorism, FDR was a bloodthirsty war criminal.

When six Germans and two Americans were suspected of plotting an attack on U.S. munitions plants during World War II, FDR immediately ordered them arrested and tried in a secret military tribunal held behind closed doors at the Department of Justice.

Within weeks, all were found guilty. Six of the eight, including one U.S. citizen, were given the electric chair. One German was sentenced to life in prison and the other American citizen — who had turned himself in and revealed the plot to the FBI — got 30 years.

The Supreme Court upheld the secret trial, but didn’t get around to producing an opinion until after Old Sparky had rendered its own verdict.

This is why we need to close the southern border, NOW

After watching this video, every patriotic US citizen should understand exactly why the new law cracking down on illegal immigration in Arizona was necessary. This recent video, shot at a La Raza rally, demonstrates the absolute idiocy of US policy that fails to protect our borders.

The speaker has been reported to be Mr. Ronald Gochez, a teacher at Santee High School in Los Angeles. Though no photo is available at the school’s website, he is listed as a faculty member in the School of Public Service and Social Justice. His position is listed simply as “social studies teacher.”

Here are just a few of the outlandish quotes from Mr. Gochez’s remarks:

“This is not just about Mexico. This is about a global struggle against imperialism and capitalism.”

“…where we now stand is stolen, occupied Mexico.

“Why is it that these people–these frail, racist, white people, want to keep us out of this country? It’s not because simply the color of our skin. It’s not simply because they just want to exploit us. Let me tell you why. Because on this planet right now are 6 billion people at the forefront of the revolutionary movement is La Raza.”

“We have the long history and example of our Comandante Fidel Castro Ruz, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales…”

“We have 9 left of center governments in Latin America right now and they know something that one young Argentine called Che Guevara said. It was called the Domino Theory and he knew that every single country would go revolutionary. One after the other, after the other, after the other.”

They know that we will no longer fall to these lies called borders. We know that a Salvadoran and a Guatemalan and Nicaraguans and Mexicano, there’s no damn difference. We are all one people. So with that in mind, we see ourselves–all of us here–as the Northern Front of a Latin American revolutionary movement.”

“There are more than 40 million of our people north of the Rio Grandes (sic). That means to them, there’s 40 million potential revolutionaries north of the border, inside the belly of the beast.”

We are not just a regular culture anymore. We are a culture of revolutionary spirit.

“Our enemy is the same enemy that Hugo Chavez has. Our enemy is the same enemy that keeps Africa poor. Our enemy is the same enemy that keeps Asia poor. Our enemy is Capitalism and Imperialism.”

US Vet cuts down Mexican flag flown above US flag

This is an old video, but it goes to show too often immigrants come to OUR country with no plan to assimilate, nor to embrace OUR culture. The American flag flies above all others on OUR soil…period.

This vet did the right thing, what every one of us should be prepared to do if we find ourselves in the same situation.
