Martial arts master Chuck Norris points out that President Obama doesn’t seem to understand the Reason for the Season.

by Chuck Norris at Townhall.com I’m willing to bet that President Barack Obama’s Christmas address this week will shine with a religious significance that’s about as bright as what was in his unusually short Thanksgiving proclamation, which gave a token reference to God via a quote from George Washington.
Even in the Obamas’ superstar Christmas interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Gloria Estefan, there were discussions about Santa Claus, Christmas trees, ornaments, gingerbread houses and even their dog’s Christmas stocking. Obama even gave a Christmas shout-out to all Hispanics. But there was not one mention of religion or a hint of the real reason for the season.
Gone are the days when presidents and most politicians publicly rejoiced in the birth of Christ. Like many of you, I still remember a day — even in Washington — when Christ was central to Christmas. It was an America that was far less politically correct, an America that wasn’t afraid to stand up for its belief in the babe who was born in Bethlehem.
Besides Obama, even our modern Democratic presidents have stood up for America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and the true meaning of Christmas. Here’s a small sample. (If you’re interested in more, I encourage you to go to the exclusive expanded edition of this same article at WorldNetDaily, which documents more than a dozen of our other presidents’ Christmas confessions and festivities, from George Washington through George W. Bush.)
It’s well-known that President John Kennedy was a Catholic. What’s not so well-known is that in 1957, then-Sen. Kennedy disclosed at a National Conference of Christians and Jews dinner what he believed was the remedy to the ills in society: “Upon what can we rely? Where can we compete? In what can we find hope for the future? The answer, I believe, lies ultimately in the very principles which we honor tonight — the principles of our Judaic-Christian heritage.”

6 Reasons Obama-Care Is Bad Medicine
by Chuck Norris at Townhall.com
No one denies that in an affluent country such as our own, it borders on tragic that millions do not have some form of health care. I feel for those Americans; I really do. I agree that health care reform is needed badly in America, but I don’t believe the bill of goods called “universal health care” that is being pitched presently by our president contains the solution. In fact, I believe it is bad medicine for America.
–First, universal health care unwisely is being rushed.
Should sweeping health care reform be enacted in a world-record time? Just like the stimulus packages and bogus bailout baloney, Obama-care is being shoved downed America’s throat (without explanation) and propelled like a ramrod through Congress (without examination). I call it the Obama blitzkrieg: create crisis; crunch numbers; and cram legislation. The fact is the president continues to sell the program, but there is still no single plan he or Congress is ready to sell.

David vs. Goliath of Governmental Agencies
by Chuck Norris on Townhall.com
One of the most hideous ways the Internal Revenue Service usurps power and control over Americans is through its oppression over nonprofits, especially religious groups. Threatening to withdraw tax-exempt status and to levy penalties are just a couple of ways it exercises its tyranny.
For example, April 3, Catholic Answers, one of the nation’s largest lay-run apologetic (or defense) ministries for the Catholic movement, filed suit in federal court against the IRS for violating its right to free speech.
What spurred on the lawsuit is that the IRS imposed fines on Catholic Answers because Catholic Answers’ president, Karl Keating, wrote in one of his “E-letters” that 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry shouldn’t be allowed to receive the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) because of his pro-abortion stance, advocacy and voting record. Whether you agree or not, Keating was voicing his conviction and opinion, which he has a First Amendment right to do. At no point did Catholic Answers even tell people for whom to vote or not to vote.

Chuck Norris: Freedom of speech slipping away
I’m always amazed when a Hollywood icon stands up for conservative values. Few suspect any who earns his living in Tinseltown to be anything but a flaming liberal.
But here’s Chuck Norris on Townhall.com, refusing to acquiesce to the powers-that-be in one of the most liberal cities in the US.
