Al Gore’s New Home in DC

Constructed free of charge by the daughter and grandchildren of Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe (R). And constructed using 100% Global Warming residue (snow) which is more plentiful this year than any ardent follower of the former Vice President expected!

Molly Rapert, Inhofe’s daughter, and the Senator’s grandchildren built the abode pictured below and adorned it with signs reading “Al Gore’s New Home” and “Honk if you (heart) Global Warming.”

Not all saw the humor, or the significance, in the frozen edifice.

With snow and ice covering the US from New England to Texas, some Global Warming alarmists (including the infamous Nobel laureate Gore) are apparently hibernating, awaiting the spring thaw to shout from the mountaintops the coming calamity that will result from the climate change due to Global Warming. The office of the mouthpiece for Global Warming didn’t return calls from the Wall Street Journal seeking comment. Others don’t have that much common sense.

Dan Becker, director of the Safe Climate Campaign, sarcastically stated “Now if some entrepreneur would just ship all this snow to Vancouver, Greenland and the arctic, where it is so clearly needed.” A New York Times article penned by John Broder implies the record snowfall in the Eastern US is a direct result of rising global temperatures!

Using research discredited in the recent scandal surrounding uncovered emails between leading proponents of the theory of man made Global Warming, data manipulating scientists put forth the argument their hypothesis is bolstered by virtually any weather event. In other words, they claim they’re right when it’s hot, cold, or in between.

Luckily, US residents aren’t so easily convinced that record cold and snowfall confirm conjectures or man made Global Warming.

Congressmen vacation on your dime!

Twenty Congressmen and Congresswomen, under the watchful eye of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), took so many staff and family members with them to the Global Warming Climate Change conference in Copenhagen last month.  The delegation, which included Democrats and Republicans, was chosen by Pelosi.

Though she promised to “drain the swamp” in the US House, Pelosi refuses to answer any questions regarding the costs of the trip.  Costs that you, the American taxpayer, will bear.

Jack Cafferty on CNN condemns Pelosi on the liberal network, referring to her as a “horrible woman”.

Where is Al Gore now?

Looks like a lot of people might be happy to see a little global warming about now.

Did Obama Single-Handedly Defeat Global Warming in Denmark?

Under the blanket of a blinding blizzard, negotiators in Copenhagen charge ahead with efforts to forge an international agreement that will stem the tide of what they now call “Climate Change.” (Formerly known as Global Warming.)  The winter storm wasn’t all these Global Warming alarmists were ignoring as they donned coats, hats, scarves and gloves to demand action that they believe will lower temperatures.

Protesters, “green” organizations, and worst of all, delegates representing member states of the UN continued to ignore the words of leading scientists that have led some to call “Climate Change” the “worst scientific scandal of our generation.”

It’s understandable the nutcase treehuggers who hold no real job didn’t notice that the whole idea of man-made climate change is a fabricated hoax. They spend their entire lives protesting at some conference for some left wing cause or another.  The “green” organizations know the science is junk.  They’ve always known it.  They use it to convince citizens of the world that cow farts, SUVs, and even our own breathing are turning the Earth into a boiling cauldron, not because of some burning desire to save the world, but to extort money from those who swallow their left-wing line and those who don’t.

The extortion from sympathizers, believers, and followers comes in the form of donations to the left-wing organizations that support the professional protesters who pass through this life throwing rocks, breaking windows, and turning over cars in the street.  Those who don’t run for their lives when the radical left nut jobs play Chicken Little with issues like Global Warming…uh…I mean Climate Change…don’t voluntarily hand over their hard earned cash to the liberal loons so the extortion takes a little more effort where they’re concerned.  These involuntary victims of the leftist liberals are stripped of their worldly possessions for the good of the cause by taxation and/or government imposed mandates.

Those taxes and mandates were exactly what the shivering ambassadors from 193 countries sought to agree on at Copenhagen.  But negotiators seemed stymied, unable to reach an agreement as rich countries (those who would be required to pay said taxes) didn’t seem to want to part with as much of their wealth as poorer countries (those who would benefit from yet another liberal scheme to redistribute wealth) planned to take.  Then, US President Barack Obama arrived in the winter wonderland anomaly.

Believers and extortionists can now claim Obama’s powers of persuasion, though no longer capable of hypnotizing a majority of Americans, worked wonders on the chilly conference representatives’ ability to compromise.  With a flurry of last minute arm twisting, which included the President breaking protocol by bursting into a meeting of Chinese, Brazilian, Indian and South African leaders to demand they not negotiate in secret (funny how he doesn’t hold Democratic Senators to that standard on health care), the President forged an agreement between the US and those four countries that permitted him yet another opportunity to describe his accomplishment with his favorite adjective.

If Global Warming/Climate Change/[whatever the next name for the nonexistent threat propagated by the left] is real, the results of his “unprecedented” accomplishment must have been instantaneous, because the President had to leave Denmark before the agreement could be considered by the full conference in order to beat another blinding snowstorm descending on Washington, DC.

One can only imagine what weather conditions would have befallen the US capitol if Obama had failed in his quest to get something on paper before he left Copenhagen.  Air conditioning systems would likely be running full blast in the capitol city, creating an “unprecedented” December demand on coal-fired power plants to cool the sultry confines inside the beltway.  Imagine the “unprecedented” levels of CO2 that would have been emitted by DC denizens’ efforts to combat what would almost certainly have been an “unprecedented” heat wave this weekend. So be sure to email the White House and thank the President as you’re shoveling the snow from your driveway this weekend.

Global Warming/Climate Change/[whatever the radical left wants to call it this week] is nowhere to be found this weekend, thanks to the “unprecedented” pretentiousness of our President!

Of course, it’s more likely the leaked CRU emails we’ve read about really did point to a cover up by the scientific community to help guarantee a continually growing flow of research dollars help them manufacture more junk science and there was no more truth to Global Warming than to Al Gore’s claim that he invented the internet.

Obama using war, climate change, & jobs as distraction for health care

After spending the summer and fall trying to cram an unwanted government takeover of the US health care system down the throats of the American people, he’s finally managed to get a bill passed in the House and its companion bill debated on the floor of the Senate.  Now’s the time most would expect a final push, a strategic surge, a call on the very reserves of his energy and effort, to cross the finish line with legislation that could ultimately define his presidency.

But, instead of a network news health care infomercial starring the President, he decided to shift gears this week.  Suddenly he’s stepped forward with a response to General McChrystal’s request for more troops in Afghanistan, decided to attend the climate change conference in Copenhagen, and Thursday held a “jobs summit” at the White House. Is he counting his chickens before they hatch?  Does he believe he has this battle won, so he’s already tackling the next challenge?  It’s just hard to imagine after he’s focused on little else for months now, that suddenly the issue no longer draws his attention.

Of course, it could be by design.  All smoke and mirrors to confuse and confound.

Sort of like Nancy Pelosi’s Saturday at midnight vote to pass her vision of “reform” that places our health care decisions in the hands of government bureaucrats, or Harry Reid’s choice to hold the vote to move his bill forward on the Saturday night before Thanksgiving, President Obama is now hoping to take the eye of the American taxpayer off the ball in the last seconds of the game.

His jobs summit isn’t so much about jobs, but it’s just one part of a plan designed to turn the heads of the majority of voters who oppose his vision for the health care system, distracting them long enough to let the bill squeeze through before they realize it.

Think about it…three months after McChrystal issued his request for 40,000 troops, three months of facing harsh criticism for “dithering” while American troops twisted in the wind, he comes forth with a decision that sends the health care story to the inside pages of newspapers across the country.  Just one month after we heard the President wouldn’t be attending the climate conference in Copenhagen, Obama has suddenly done a 180 and decided not only to  attend but to promise a 17% cut in US carbon emissions by 2020.  And now the “jobs summit.”

Don’t be surprised to see the front page too crowded by all these announcements to adequately cover the health care debate over the next couple of weeks.  Look for the mainstream media to fall in line and lead with these stories and others to give cover to Democratic Senators trying to tow their party line while their constituents are distracted.

Obama and his Democratic lackeys in the Senate know Americans don’t trust the government to administer the health care system, but THEY DON’T CARE!  In their minds, we’re incapable of knowing what’s best for us.

They’re creating a diversion, hoping to distract us and force us to swallow their “reform.”

Don’t take your eyes off the health care debate until it’s dead!

Do Smoking Guns Cause Global Warming, Too?

As we now know (and by “we” I mean “everyone with access to the Internet”), the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) has just been caught ferociously manipulating the data about the Earth’s temperature.

Recently leaked e-mails from the “scientists” at CRU show that, when talking among themselves, they forthrightly admit to using a “trick” to “hide the decline” in the Earth’s temperature since 1960 — as one e-mail says. Still another describes their manipulation of the data thus: “[W]e can have a proper result, but only by including a load of garbage!”

Am I just crazy from the heat or were they trying to deceive us?

Global warming cheerleaders in the media were quick to defend the scandalous e-mails, explaining that, among scientists, the words “trick,” “hide the decline” and “garbage” do not mean “trick,” “hide the decline” and “garbage.” These words actually mean “onion soup,” “sexual submissive” and “Gary, Ind.”

(Boy, it must be great to be able to redefine words right in the middle of a debate.)

Also, of course, the defenders said that the words needed to be placed “in context” — the words’ check was in the mail, and they’d like to spend more time with their families.

I have placed the words in context and it turns out what they mean is: gigantic academic fraud.

The leaked e-mail exchanges also show the vaunted “scientists” engaging in a possibly criminal effort to delete their own smoking-gun e-mails in response to a Freedom of Information request. Next, the fanatics will be telling us that “among scientists,” this behavior does not indicate knowledge of guilt.

If I recall correctly, their next move should be to fire the special prosecutor late Saturday night.

These e-mails aren’t a tempest in a teapot. They are evidence of pervasive fraud by a massively influential institution that has dominated news coverage of global warming.

British Lord Says One-World-Gov’t Goal of Climate Change Treaty

Keynote speaker Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, gave a scathing and lengthy presentation, complete with detailed charts, graphs, facts, and figures which culminated in the utter decimation of both the pop culture concept of global warming and the credible threat of any significant anthropomorphic climate change.

Here were Monckton’s closing remarks, as dictated from my audio recording:

At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.

I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfaction of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.

Sen Barbara Boxer’s (D-CA) Racism Displayed

You recall recently that Senator Barbara Boxer took issue with the Army general who dared address her as ma’am.  Boxer believed the term didn’t communicate enough respect for her haughty stature as a member of the “ruling elite” in our country. Here’s the video in case you missed it.

Well, it seems the Senator has little respect for anyone she interrogates.  Only this time it’s not her disrespect for the military that comes through, it’s her disrespect for the black race.  In other words, she’s a racist–plain and simple.

Rather than address Harry C. Alford’s, Chairman of the Black Chamber of Commerce, concerns about the Cap & Trade legislation being considered, Senator Boxer speaks veeeerrrrry sloooowwwwly as she introduces the NAACP Resolution on Climate Change and quotes a statement from John Grant, CEO of 100 Black Men in Atlanta, in support of climate change legislation.  Her slow speech insinuates that Alford isn’t intelligent, that he just can’t understand what she’s saying unless she slows down and stresses each and every syllable.  Bringing in unscientific resolutions and claims from “black organizations” seems as if the Senator is saying, “Look boy, you need to stick with your own kind.”

This is racism and I’m glad Alford had the guts to call her on it.

It’s Getting Cold Out There

No wonder skeptics consider the left’s belief in man-made global warming as akin to a fad religion — last week in Italy, G8 leaders pledged to not allow the Earth’s temperature to rise more than 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit.

For its next act, the G8 can part the Red Sea. The worst part is: These are the brainy swells who think of themselves as — all bow — Men of Science.

The funny part is: G8 leaders can’t even decide the year from which emissions must be reduced. 1990? 2005? “This question is a mystery for everyone,” an aide to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.

And while President Obama led the charge for the G8 nations to agree to an 80 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in industrial nations by 2050, the same Russian aide dissed the standard as “likely unattainable.”

No worries, the language was non-binding. Global-warming believers say that they are all about science, but their emphasis is not on results so much as declarations of belief.

U.S. Government’s Climate Con-job

Suppose a company doctored data, misrepresented study findings, replaced observations with computer simulations and hired PR flacks to promote its new “wonder drug.” News stories, congressional hearings and subpoenas would be in overdrive. Fines and jail sentences would follow. And rightly so.

But the standards change when “climate catastrophe” is involved.

But average global temperatures peaked in 1998 and since have fallen slightly, even as carbon dioxide levels continue to climb. Antarctic ice shelves show no signs of climate change, a six-year study has determined, while Arctic ice is seasonably normal. Hurricane activity is at a 30-year low.

Climate Armageddonites are trying to counter these inconvenient truths, scare people into clamoring for climate legislation, and enact the job-killing Waxman-Markey bill before more citizens realize they’ll be forced to pay $$$$ trillions for a hypothetical 0.1 degree Fahrenheit reduction in global temperatures. What to do?
