the Tea Party participant.
Though it’s doubtful the liberal rag, Time Magazine, will agree, conservative online news source World Net Daily has named the new conservative protester as Person of the Year. The men and women who, until this year, never carried a sign, gathered at a public protest, or marched for a cause continue to challenge a runaway government completely controlled by liberal Democrats.
It’s an individual like Nate, whose transition was captured on a video. He started out as an Obama voter proud to see the first black president. Now he’s a “man who has buyer’s remorse and becomes an active defender of the Constitution and limited government.”
The mainstream media and their Democrat allies sought to label the grassroots movement an “astroturf” campaign, implying participants were paid to show up at rallies, but the ranks of these amateur political dissidents just keep growing. Other liberals counted on the energy of conservative protesters to fizzle out. Still others expected President Obama’s “Hope & Change” policies to positively impact the American economy and take the wind from the sails of the protest movement.
But the liberals’ talents for soothsaying proved to be lacking. Conservatives are organizing and networking like never before, online and on the street. Some officials estimated the crowd that gathered on September the 12th in Washington, DC was the largest ever to assemble on the Capitol Mall. And conservative pundits’ predictions that Obama’s Socialist policies will adversely affect the nation’s economy continue to come true.
Though the President and his Socialist-Democrat Lieutenants Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid continue to cram unwanted “Change” down the throats of the American people. More and more are recognizing Obama’s game plan is destroying “Hope” in America with massive new spending, record deficits and debt, and no positive impact on the US economy. The growth of the movement is evident in the President’s precipitous decline in the polls.
The Tea Party participants’ willingness to stand up for freedom, while standing in the sights of liberal Democrats’ big guns, their willingness to sacrifice time and money to make their voices heard, their willingness to learn new technology and take the fight to formerly foreign battlefields, all have earned the Tea Party participant the title of WND’s 2009 Person of the Year.

By now it’s certain you’ve heard about the near trillion dollar health care bill being debated in the Senate. But you may not have heard that Governor Beebe believes the bill will also bust our state budget wide open–to the tune of $205 million!!!
In an effort to educate the public about this under-reported concern by the highest ranking elected Democrat in the state of Arkansas, Tea Parties across the state have banned together and teamed up with Americans for Prosperity to sponsor the 12-12 @ 12:00 rally this Saturday at 12:00 noon.
The focus for Saturday will be to call Arkansas’ elected officials’ attention to this budget busting bill so they will stand against it and assert Arkansans’ interests in this matter.
Nationally syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin will be the keynote speaker, but numerous Arkansas legislators and several Republican candidates for US Senate will be addressing the crowd as well. Several candidates for US Congress will also be present and available to answer questions. This will be an event you won’t want to miss if you hope to stop this Obamacare atrocity!
And if you’re worried about the weather, don’t be. The event will be held inside at the Little Rock Doubletree Hotel Ballroom. It’s scheduled to last for an hour and a half. The first 1000 to arrive will be admitted to hear the speakers.

Across the US today and tomorrow, Tea Partiers and 912’ers will rally once again. Only this time, what the Democrats call the “Angry Mob” will get the media coverage that’s been lacking when they gathered previously.
That’s because Operation “Can You Hear Us Now?” won’t take place at Capitols or city parks. Planners of this rally chose to take the message to the mainstream media since the media won’t come to them. These rallies will be held on the doorsteps of left-wing media outlets across the country. Reporters, anchors, and management will have a hard time ignoring the masses as they gather beneath their office windows. When they have to push through the crowd on their way out the door, they’ll no longer be able to turn a blind eye to the frustration of millions of Americans.
This is the website organizers set up where you can find more information and here’s a list of all planned events. Be sure to check the list, because most are planned for Saturday, but a few will be held today, Friday October 16.
Join the crowds and make your voice be heard!
Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as “Obamacare makes me sick” as they protested the president’s health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.
The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
People were chanting “enough, enough” and “We the People.” Others yelled “You lie, you lie!” and “Pelosi has to go,” referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

It’s “silly season” according to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. You know silly season. It’s the time when all of the ridiculous stuff the administration is doing gets revealed – no matter how little the media actually reports any of it.
For the president, the season is fall, when leaves and White House plans plummet to earth with equal abandon. In less than a week, three major Obama initiatives have fallen apart. And those three serve as the backdrop to Obama’s latest attempt to get health care reform back on track. But no matter what he says Wednesday night, things are about to get worse for Barack Obama because the tea party patriots are back and coming to D.C. Sept. 12.
The 9-12 protests, as they are being called, aren’t just focusing on Washington. Organizers vow, “We will be one voice, demanding that Congress restore fiscal responsibility to our national budget. We will remind Congress, the president, and our fellow citizens what limited government and free markets can do.” They need the reminder. No one in D.C. remembers what that means.
From Bob Porto’s Blog
It seems that Democrats in Washington, even those elected to represent Arkansas, are becoming more and more distant from those of us who pay their salaries. With trillions of dollars now committed to bailing out our nation’s largest banks and corporations, the nationalization of our auto industry, unprecedented government spending and national debt, and now an effort to establish a government-run health care system, Americans are standing up and speaking out. Concerned with the prospect of their country having more in common with the former USSR than anything envisioned by our founding fathers, conservative citizens are exercising their constitutional rights with a fervor never before seen on the right side of the political spectrum.
Constitutional rights, enjoyed since the ratification of the Bill of Rights–freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to peaceably assemble, and freedom to petition the government to redress grievances, may soon be reserved only those of like mind with the President and his progressive allies in Congress. The 1st amendment guarantees these rights and also the freedom of the press. Often called the 4th branch of government, the free press has long served to inform the people of any attempt to abridge these inalienable rights. But what would happen if the free press became complicit with a repressive government, and refused to inform the people when their rights were abridged?
We might see ordinary people taking up the pen and taking to the airwaves in an effort to uncover the truth. Shouting from every street corner, publishing in their living rooms, and striving to get in front of every camera and every crowd to have their voice heard. The administration and its allies in Congress and the press may begin by dismissing these vocal dissidents as a discontent minority, hoping they’ll grow weary and go away. If instead the rebel movement doesn’t fade away, those in power may send out scouts to demonize and demagogue those who disagree. And when the opposition movement continues to expand and grow, bring out the big guns. Have top administration officials and leaders of Congress attack those private citizens who stand and fight to preserve their constitutional rights.
And remember, the 4th branch of government no longer stands up for the people. Government lies go unchallenged as the press becomes nothing more than a mouthpiece for the propaganda disseminated by those in power. Uninformed by major news outlets, most citizens would remain unaware as offices were created to collect names of those who dare to publicly disagree with those in power. When the ruling party sent out enforcers to intimidate voters and violently attack those standing up for their rights, most would remain uninformed. When legislators call their own constituents un-American for exercising their first amendment rights, few would ever know.
But wait, all of these things are happening now! This isn’t a hypothetical situation, it’s here. We’re now in the trenches daily, fighting to have our voices heard, to stand up and be counted, but the vehicle Americans could always count on to spread their message is parked, refusing to start its engine and carry its load. Thank God for the internet, new media, talk radio, and Fox News! Because they’re the only reason our message is carried by anything more than word of mouth. But we can’t be satisfied until the mainstream media fulfills its obligation to inform the public also.
I suggest we expand our offensive. Our strategy has been effective thus far, but we’ve yet to deal a crippling blow to those who seek to destroy our freedoms. We need a new tactic to add to our battlefield portfolio, one that brings the mainstream media to its knees and forces it to accept its responsibility and report the abuses of our government to the unaware in our society.
There’s only one path to such an impact and it runs directly through the advertisers who bankroll the American media. It’s time to make our own lists, lists of advertisers who fund the operations of media outlets who remain silent on the abuses perpetrated by the Obama administration and its allies. Then it’s time to boycott those advertisers. Don’t buy their products, don’t use their services, and don’t patronize their establishments until and unless the media outlets they support begin doing their jobs!
We’re making a difference. There’s no doubt of that. But we can’t become satisfied, not until the threat is past and victory is certain. So fellow patriots, as we continue to place direct pressure on our elected officials, let’s also expand the fight. Join with me to take aim at their enablers, the mainstream media.
Here’s Bob Wright of the Lee County Militia addressing a Tea Party in New Mexico.
by Donald Lambro at The Washington Times
Fourth of July “Tea Party” rallies, picnics, marches and other demonstrations were scheduled across the country Saturday to protest what organizers say is record federal spending and taxes by the Obama administration that enlarges government and threatens the nation’s prosperity.
Whether the turnout would match or exceed the hundreds of April 15 Tea Party protests remained to be seen, though a survey of dozens of publicized events from Maine to California suggested the grass-roots movement had not lost its energy and support.
I just received the following press release, dated June 2nd, this evening in an email.
If you’re going to be in Atlanta tomorrow, Tea Party Patriots would love to have your help to send a clear message to CNN.
