Happy Birthday US Marines!
by John Allison III
Two hundred and thirty four years ago today, at a small pub in Philadelphia, a committee of the Continental Congress gave birth to the United States Marine Corps, then known as the Continental Marines. Since that day, Marines have served around the globe to preserve freedom and protect the interests of these United States.
On this day, I extend a hearty “Happy Birthday!” and “Semper Fi” to all my Marine Corps brethren. May God watch over you and protect you wherever you find yourself on this special day.
Happy Birthday from a Marine Corps Brat!
I saw your comments yesterday, thanks for stopping by. I like the idea of your site, if you want to exchange links let me know. I’m not saying this because of the Marine post, I was in the Army. Thanx…………..Bernie
